The world's best chili

03/16/2011

Erik Hörnfeldt old recipe for no-bean chili has been popular among my friends a recently. It is propably due to a combination of the meat trend sweeping the country and a repressed desire for stupid guy stuff.

The recipe was published in Expressen in the 80's and has achieved a certain cult status. It is said to be based on a recipe from a book by Francis X Tolbert, but Hörnfeldt probably took some liberties.

The tequila, to be poured into the throat instead of the pan, may be an example of that.

PS: This is the result of a collaboration with the animation class at school. Many thanks to all contributors.

Update: Joakim Jardenberg has blogged about this recipe and was kind enough to publish the film on Jardenberg unedited (scroll down to the end of the post).
